NTT subscriber's name
Yahoo BB uses
NTT's telephone network to
provide the
Internet service. However, NTT
refuses to
connect Yahoo BB line if the subscriber's
name is not
correct. If you don't know the
subscriber's
name, call NTT English support
center 0120-364-463
(Mon-Fri 9am-5pm) and
find it out.
A tiny spelling error ends up
in unsuccessful
application. So make sure
to obtain the
EXACT SPELLING of the subscriber
name to avoid
unnecessary delay of your application. |

ISDN users:
If your subscribe
ISDN, a special NTT telephone
service, the
line has to be switched to a
regular NTT
phone service. NTT charges the
one-time switching
fee and all your ISDN
optional services
may be cancelled. For more
information
about switching form ISDN to
a regular analogue
NTT phone service, contact
NTT English
support center 0120-364-463 (Mon-Fri
9am-5pm). Most
people subscribe a regular
NTT analogue
telephone service. So if you
are not sure
what kind of NTT service you
have, you don't
have to worry about this
section.
Another ADSL users:
You can switch
to Yahoo! BB
from your current
ADSL carrier
without any
blank period if
you specify
the exact disconnection
date
for your current
ADSL service.
If you have
not obtained
the disconnection
day information
yet, you can
leave this
section as it is.
Then you can
notify Yahoo!
BB by calling
SoftbankBB Information Center as soon as the date is confirmed.
Note1: Most
of the Internet service providers(ISP)s
cancel your
service at the end of each month.
So it is ideal
to notify your provider of
cancellation
at the beginning of each month
in order to
give Yahoo BB enough time to
arrange the
connection. Remember that at
least 12 business
days (excluding Saturdays,
Sundays and
holidays) advance notification
of the disconnection
day is required in order
to avoid unnecessary
blank period.
Note2: Cancellation
date and the actual disconnection
date are usually
different. Most of the Internet
service providers
cancel your contract at
the end of
each month but actually disconnect
the line in
the following month. Yahoo BB
can not connect
their ADSL as long as your
current ADSL
carrier occupies your NTT line.
Make sure to
obtain the ACTUAL DISCONNECTION
DATE (NOT account
cancellation date ) from
your current
provider.
Note3 Internet
Service Provider(ISP) and
ADSL carrier
are usually different. ISPs
usually use
one of the major ADSL wholesalers
indicated below.

NTT touch-tone service:
If your subscribe
NTT touch-tone service,
check here.
However, it does not affect Yahoo!
BB Internet.
So if you are not sure, you
can leave this
section as it is.
Telephone number notification
After Yahoo!
BB line is connected, BB phone service will have priority over your NTT
telephone service
So when you make a phone
call, your
BB phone number (050-1XXX-XXXX)
will be notified
to the other end of the
party. If you
don't want to notify your BB
phone number,
select "unnotify"
Last four digits for BB phone call record.
You can check
your BB phone call record over the Internet. For some reasons (you
don't want your family members to check the
numbers you dialed etc..) if you don't want
to show the last 4 digits of the numbers
you dialed, choose "undisplay".
