The whole process usually takes 10 to 14
days.
- Visit Nexus homepage and fill out the application
form (English Instruction).
- Nexus confirms the receipt of your application
either by
E-mail or
phone. If you receive
a phone call,
they simply
tell you that they
will forward
the application
to Yahoo BB!
Just tell
them "O.K."
or "Hai"
- Yahoo BB sends you a letter indicating the
connection
date. The
connection is done within
the NTT telephone
exchange.
You don't have
to stay home.
- You will receive a modem on the connection
day. Connect
the modem
and enjoy the Internet.
- After confirming your Yahoo BB connection, Nexus sends you a 5,000 yen gift certificate.

Yahoo BB can connect the Internet without
any blank period even if your NTT line is
occupied by another ADSL carrier at the moment.
Simply notify Yahoo BB of the exact disconnection
date for the current ADSL. (Two weeks advance
notification is required)

- Call Yahoo BB Information Center at least two weeks before the disconnection
date and
hand over
the information mentioned
above.(Or
if you know
the disconnection date
already,
you can fill
out the designated section on the application
form).Yahoo BB connects their Internet line on
the day your current ADSL is disconnected.
Everything will be done within the NTT telephone
exchange. So you don't have to stay home.
- You will receive a modem on the connection
day. Connect
the modem
and enjoy
the Internet.
- After confirming your Yahoo BB connection, Nexus sends you a 5,000 yen gift certificate.

Most of the Internet service providers(ISP)
cancel
your
account
at the
end of each month.
So it
is ideal
to notify
your
provider of
cancellation
at the
beginning
of each
month
in order
to give
Yahoo
BB enough
time to
arrange
the connection.
Remember
that
at
least
two weeks
advance
notification
of the
disconnection
day is
required
in order
to
avoid
unnecessary
blank

Most
of the Internet
service
providers
cancel
your
contract at
the end
of each
month
but actually
disconnect
the line
in the
following
month.
Yahoo BB
can not
connect
their
ADSL
as long as another
carrier
occupies
your
NTT line.
Make sure
to obtain
the ACTUAL
DISCONNECTION
DATE
(NOT
account
cancellation
date
) from
your current

date. Note: An NTT contractor
visits your
house to install your Yahoo BB
line. If
you are not able to stay home on
the installation
day. call Yahoo BB Installation
Support Center
-0120-975-330 (ext.1)- to
arrange another
date. The center is available
in Japanese
language only. But if you insist
for an English
speaking representative, they
may be able
to find somebody who speaks English.
- An NTT contractor visits your house on the
installation
date. You will also receive
a modem on
the same day by a courier express.
Connect the
modem and enjoy the Internet.
- After confirming your Yahoo BB connection, Nexus sends you a 5,000 yen gift certificate.

You will receive your modem on the connection
day probably by Sagawa Express. If you are not at home, they will leave
you a "Message
of Non-Delivery"
slip. Call Sagawa
Express for re-delivery.
