All you have to do is connect an ordinary phone to the Yahoo BB modem. Then you
can immediately use the BB phone service!
IMPORTANT:
BB phone uses your Internet line for the
service. So if the Internet becomes unavailable or unstable,
a BB phone call cannot be established. When
a call is connected through your BB phone, you
will always hear "po-po-po" like sound after dialing a number. If you hear
the "po-po-po" sound twice, it
means the person you're calling is also a
BB Phone user. So the call is absolutely FREE! However, when BB phone call cannot be established,
the modem automatically directs the call
to your NTT phone line (if you have one) and you
will not hear the "po-po-po" sound.
Therefore you'll be billed for the call either from NTT or your long distance
carrier. So, if you want to take advantage
of the cheap BB phone rates, make sure to
confirm the "po-po-po" sound every
time you make a phone call.
Note:
There are some unavailable calls from
your BB phone. These
calls include:
--- Toll free numbers
---0120-XXX-XXX / 0800-XXX-XXXX
--- Emergency numbers ---Police 110,
Fire 119 etc.
--- Dial Q2 ----0990-XXX-XXXX
--- NaviDial----0570-XXX-XXXX
Using BB phone, you can call a limited
number of IP phone
numbers (050-XXXX-XXXX) offered by other IP phone carriers. Visit Yahoo! BB official homepage for the complete list of IP phone companies
connected to your BB phone.
Unavailable calls are automatically directed
to your NTT line. If you do not subscribe
an NTT phone service, you cannot make these
phone calls.
